AI TruthTeller® helps people identify and avoid deception. It focuses primarily on preventing deception through real-time decision support in online interactions. We embrace human-in-the-loop (HITL) processes in two different stages of the detection. HITL is a highly regarded method that keeps decisions anchored in humans, improves accuracy and reliability and minimizes model drift. Short conversations are notoriously nuanced and benefit deeply by combining AI with human discernment. As one comparison, Quillbot requires 80 words before their AI detector will scan. Of the tools listed, AI TruthTeller is the only solution built primarily for real-time digital interactions and online safety.

Originality.ai (requires minimum 100 words) provides tools for content creation teams, while Grammarly (30 word minimum)leans heavily into improving written communication. In doing so Grammarly embraces human-in-the-loop processes that create an iterative experience with their software. GPTZero (100 word minimum) provides deep tools for linguistic analysis and supports teachers and professionals in preserving the authenticity of human writing. They have also recently introduced a function that highlights AI or human text in social media posts, acknowledging also that shorter texts are less likely to be accurate. Like many others, winston.ai is heavily focused on serving educators and writers and requires a minimum of 100 words to scan although they recommend 300 words or more.
